Mitchell Rae is an artist in the truest sense of the term. Not only a master shaper, he has also produced all the artwork for his surfboard decals since day one, often hand painting one-off logo's for his shapes.

In Mitchell's own words, here is the story of The Eye of the Rose........

" Inspired by punk rock and tattoo art , I created the artwork for the eye of the Rose somewhere in the early 90s. It’s hand drawn and painted before the advent of computer graphics. However, there’s more than meets the eye to this piece of art (if you will excuse the pun!)

The rose has long been held by the ancient schools of mystery as the symbol of expanding consciousness , the blossoming of our hearts, the unfolding of higher consciousness. In the context of this art, the Spirit Eye represents the quest for knowledge , truth  and the meaning of life. It’s much more than just a logo ".

This very tee was screen printed here in Australia, from the gentle hands of washed up surfers in farmland that you would picnic in. Each tee is produced in numbered small batches with a sustainable future in mind.  100% premium heavy weight cotton, made in the USA, printed in Northern NSW.

Made from 100% USA cotton, tee is durable, comfortable, and virtually shrink-free thanks to the garment dye process. It also gives a broken-in feel, just like your favourite T-shirt that's been worn for a decade. This garment is meticulously designed with a high-ribbed collar that provides a snug, comfortable fit that will not stretch out or lose its shape over time. Cut with a spacious fit in the sleeves and torso, making it relaxed and versatile enough to wear with anything.
